This is an example of a great collaborative project between Jupiter Play, the local school and landscape architects Swan Paul Partnership to create a bespoke timber ship. Through extensive consultation with Barnardo’s and the school Jupiter Play were able to bring the ideas of the pupils to life to create a unique sea-faring adventure with a bespoke ship design, incorporating the play elements the children most loved and wanted in their play area.
This design showcases our landscape-led approach, using sustainable materials that work together with the environment and creating a sense of place as well as creating a feature with the ‘Wow’ factor.
Jupiter Play were delighted to be awarded the Best Bespoke Outdoor Playground Equipment Award for Innovation in the UK by the 2015 Construction Awards, well deserved recognition of a project that truly engaged a community.
