“”The interaction between the units and the surrounding environment create an intrinsic character for the site. It’s beautiful watching the children enjoy the play area.” Headteacher”

King Alfred school is a progressive independent co-educational school originally sat within woodland and has developed into a community of individual buildings within a landscape setting.
The design concept was design for children between year 2 and 3, based around the idea of bringing the “village green” found at the centre of the school into the free space.

Jupiter created a dynamic and challenging play space providing a variety of play options, including fantasy and explorative play that encourage socialisation between pupils.
