Rufford Abbey Country Park
Rufford Abbey Country Park is a much-loved attraction in Nottinghamshire, as it is an affordable yet stunning historic destination with beautiful grounds. The country park had previously been lacking in play provision that would engage the entire family and encourage longer dwell times. In 2018 that all changed when the new playground was installed featuring the robinia play equipment by FHS, in keeping with the character and the natural charm of the park. Visitor numbers started to increase and Rufford Abbey Country Park, with Sherwood Forest as its neighbour, became a most notable family destination.
An attraction located close to Jupiter Play's HQ we are able to regularly visit and observe how the play space is being used and enjoyed, it is a true testimony of a good design when, even on the most dreary of British days, families are still bringing their picnics and setting up camp for the day. The play space is vast with 2 play ships, double zip wire, swings, climbing nets and more and is often packed out even by early lunch. There has already been a second phase of equipment installed to cope with the increasing visitor numbers.
